I Will Survive Page 4 Comic by BORBA

I can only assume that Nick thinks its a joke at first, because they like playing jokes on each other. But when he finds out she's serious, then the mood changes quickly in the room. This does answer my question on Page 3, because in the top right panel, Nick says among the lines of "...even if it were possible..."

I can tell something is wrong with Judy. The droopy ears, and the last two panels, but mostly the very last panel. Her eyes are telling me that she has already thought something out. So how will nick react? Happy? Sad? We will find out together.
